Southbank

South Bank is a name synonymous with the Arts. As the cultural epicentre of Brisbane, South Bank is home to the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), the Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA), State Library, the Queensland Museum and Science Centre and IMAX cinema. There is always something to see and do in South Bank whether it be watching the Australian Ballet performing Swan Lake or seeing the world famous Andy Warhol exhibition.
However the area also has a fun, youthful vibe due to the nearby Conservatorium and South Bank Parklands. Feeling hot from walking around the museum? Why not take a dip in the Parklands enclosed beach, or rest your laurels in one of the many eateries conveniently situated along the promenade (FIND SPECIAL WORD FOR THIS).
It is also imperative to visit Little Stanley Street when you’re in the area, and do have a look through the racks in Nancy King boutique (which is one of the few places in Brisbane to find Marc Jacobs!).
