James Street

Situated between Fortitude Valley and New Farm, James Street offers the best of both worlds: edgy and contemporary though also stylish and sophisticated. It is possible to spend a whole day exploring the parallel sides of this stretch of fashionable road, which is known for its designer food, fashion and furniture.
On one side houses Spoon, Wheel and Barrow and Cru Bar. Of particular interest are James St Market, a one stop shop for all fresh and gourmet delicacies, and Space, a cutting edge furniture and home wares store.
Also on this side are numerous Australian fashion boutiques such as Sass & Bide, Mimco, Scanlan and Theodore, Bettina Liano and Gail Elliott.
After time spent looking at such gorgeous decorations (for home and body) why not have a rest at one of the delicious restaurants on the other side of the road? James St Bistro has a fantastic menu, and is handily positioned flush next to the Palace Centro, an arthouse- favouring cinema that is often sold out, so be quick!
One thing is for sure, James St is a hugely popular destination, so ensure to have plenty of time to find a carpark and make bookings prior to arrival.
